SURGE WORSHIP

SURGE WORSHIP

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.” -John 4:23-24

Jesus said that now is the time for true worshipers to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. It is exciting to know that God is looking for true worshipers to worship Him. As the Worship Ministry of Surge Church, our desire is to please God by worshiping Him as He deserves - in Spirit and in Truth - and by leading our congregation into His powerful presence.

Spirit - Jesus said God is Spirit and we must worship Him in spirit. This requires that we connect with God by releasing worship from our spirits. This is how the anointing of the Holy Spirit flows through our worship. We must also worship the Lord by being “spirited.” We demonstrate our heart for God through our passionate and zealous worship.

Truth - The “truth” Jesus spoke of means - “sincerity, integrity, truthful and accurate.” Worshiping God in truth is more than acknowledging the truth about God, but worshiping Him from a heart of truth and sincerity. God judges our hearts. When our heart is sincere in worship, the Lord will receive it and respond.
